The year of 2017 will be challenging

When asked what word our panel members think will describe or characterize their 2017 the best, the majority pick “Challenges”.

Gears

We have asked our panel members in the Nordics and Ireland the following question: "What word do you think will characterize your 2017 the best?"

Between 17 and 22 percent in all the participating countries believe their 2017 to be full of challenges. This may be interesting and positive for some and for others it might be challenges that they would rather be without. The second most popular answer if we look at all the countries at once is "Satisfaction" and the panel members who have chosen this option are thus probably looking forward to a nice 2017 without too many worries. If we look at the countries separately, however, 20 percent of the Danish panel members have chosen "Satisfaction" where the same figure is only 8 percent in Ireland. Instead, the Irish panel members seem to have chosen "Happiness" as twice as many (10 percent) claim this word will characterize their 2017.

"Experiences" and "Development" are also two options cherished greatly by the panel members in all countries and we are of course happy to see this kind of result as options such as "Anger", "Boredom" and "Chaos" were also given.

Finland has the highest percentage of panel members who believe "Financial insecurity" will characterize their 2017. 13 percent have chosen this alternative, whereas the same goes for 9 percent of the panel members in the remaining countries. Finally, a little more Swedish panel members believe "Love" will describe their 2017. In other words, 8 percent of the Swedish panel members compared to 4 in Ireland, 5 in Norway and Finland and 6 in Denmark, already know or at least hope that love will be the best way to describe their 2017.
