Sundays are for family and friends
We have asked our panel members what their favorite Sunday activity is and the answers are clear – the majority in all the countries, except for Finland, have chosen the answer “Spending time with friends and family“.

Not a lot of people have cleaning on their list of favorite things to do and Userneeds' panel members are no different. Between 0 and 2 percent have chosen cleaning as their favorite Sunday activity which is the most unpopular option. Going to church is not too popular amongst our panel members either. 5 percent of Userneeds' Irish panel members have chosen "Going to church" as their favorite Sunday activity and the same figure for the Nordic countries is 2 and 3 percent.
One of the things our panel members seem to enjoy the most on a Sunday is going for a walk or a run. For the Finnish panel members this option is actually the most popular of them all. Put differently, 30 percent of the Finns have chosen running or walking as their favorite Sunday activity which is twice as many as in Denmark and Sweden. In Ireland and Norway the figure is respectively 19 and 24 percent.
Sleeping in and watching TV-series are also two activities that although they may not be very physical, indeed are popular. Between 11 and 18 percent in the different countries have thus chosen sleeping in as the best thing to do on a Sunday and between 9 and 15 percent state that watching TV-series is their favorite Sunday activity.
However, nothing beats spending time with friends and family and of course you can do all kinds of Sunday activities with the people you love. Especially the Swedish panel members appreciate spending time with their friends and family on Sundays, and no less than 38 percent have therefore chosen this option. In Norway and Finland the same figure is 28 percent and finally 35 and 36 percent of the Danish and Irish panel members have stated that spending time with friends and family is the absolute best thing to do on a Sunday.
