We have asked our panel members in the Nordics and Ireland how their most recent encounter with the police went and fortunately, the majority say it was a good experience.

When asked how the most recent encounter with the police went between 47 percent (Denmark) and 74 percent (Finland) say it was either a great experience or a good experience, thus the people that have been in contact with the police in their country view their most recent encounter in a very positive light.

In Denmark, Norway and Ireland approximately 25 percent have never been in contact with the police, which is a lot more than in Sweden and Finland where respectively 16 percent of the Swedish panel members and 7 percent of the Finnish panel members say the same thing. Fortunately, only between 7 and 9 percent claim their most recent encounter with the police was either a bad or a very bad experience.

Police misconduct and police brutality happen around the world and we are therefore very pleased to see how the results from the quick poll reflect some very positive encounters. The quick poll, however, is not representative and to further enlighten the issue more research should be done.
