Is your front door always locked?

The majority of Userneeds’ panel members always keep their door locked – also when they are at home. However, a few people leave it open and only lock it once they leave the house – find out who that is in this article.

Perhaps you live in a neighborhood where locking the door is something you only do on a rare occasion when the entire family goes away for holiday or the like. However, this does not seem to be the case for the majority of Userneeds' panel members. Between 60 and 70 percent thus state that they always keep they front door locked even while being at home.

The second most chosen option for all the countries to the question: Do you keep the front door of your house / apartment locked while you are at home? Is "No, but I lock it when I go to bed". 20 percent in Finland to 30 percent in Ireland and Denmark have chosen this answer.

In general, the panel members therefore seem to agree on when to lock their front door, however, 10 percent of the Finnish panelists only lock it once they leave their home, which is slightly more than in the other countries. Only 8 percent in Denmark and 6 percent in Sweden, Norway and Ireland have chosen this option.
