A big glass of water is the best cure for your hangovers
The majority of people who drink experience hangovers the following day. We have asked our panel members what they consider to be the best cure for hangovers.

When asked what the best cure for hangovers is the majority of Userneeds' panel members answer "A big glass of water before going to bed". Especially the Norwegian panel members seem to be fond of this cure as 25 percent have chosen this option, whereas only 4 percent of the Norwegians think eating junk food on the day with hangovers is the best cure. Concerning the latter, our Danish and Irish panel members are much more likely to buy junk food as a way to end or reduce their hangovers. Respectively 10 percent of the Danish and 11 percent of the Irish members have thus chosen this category.
A walk the following day as well as eating something before going to bed are also quite popular means to reduce our panel members' hangovers. Between 8 and 14 percent say a walk on the day with hangovers helps and between 7 and 17 percent think eating something before sleeping is the best cure.
Unfortunately, quite a few people have also chosen the option "Nothing helps". This goes for 13 percent of the Irish panel members and for 21 percent of the Norwegian panel members. Finally, there are some people who do not drink and hence do not become hungover. The biggest group of people that have chosen this option is from Finland, where 23 percent say they do not drink. Hereafter you find the Swedes, where 18 percent say they do not drink. In Ireland, Denmark and Norway the same figure is 13 and 14 percent.
