Problems with the survey
The status bar keeps jumping
The status bar sometimes jumps from side to side. How far you are
in the survey often depends on what you have answered to a previous
question. That is why not all questionnaires follow the same
pattern, as they depend on the profile you have created. The status
bar is therefore only a guide.
Why does the link to the questionnaire not
work?
There can be several reasons for the link not working. We have
compiled a list of the most common reasons:
- Sometimes many can be answering our survey at the same time, and this can temporarily burden the server. If you try a bit later, it is highly likely the link will work.
- You have to be online to answer our surveys. If you have logged yourself off the internet or have been logged off by mistake, the link will not work until you are back online again.
- Most of our surveys work in the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera, but in some rare cases a survey may only work in Internet Explorer.
- If you have deactivated JavaScript in your browser, the
questionnaire is unlikely to open. To see a guide on how to
activate JavaScript, click on one of the following:

- If nothing happens when you click on the link, you can try to copy the link into your browser.
- In some e-mail programmes the link to the survey may be split into two parts (see example below). As you can see, it is not possible to click on the last part of the link, and this means that the link will not work.

- It is important that the entire link is on one line and is clickable (see example below).

You can easily repair the link yourself by following the procedure below:
- Set the cursor behind the last part of the link (see the red arrow)
- Left-click with the mouse and highlight the entire link
- Right-click and click "copy"
- Move the cursor to the top right-hand corner on the screen and delete what is written in the browser so that you have an empty field displayed on the image below:
![]()
- Right-click again and select "paste" (see image below)
![]()
- Then click 'Enter'
- Now you have repaired the link and can answer the survey.
If none of the above options work, please write to us on info@userneeds.ie. Please send
the invitation e-mail with it, as this will help us find the
problem.
When I clicked on the link in the survey, I was informed
that I had already answered the survey. Why?
If you receive this message when trying to answer a survey, you
have probably already answered it and your answers will be
registered with us. You will therefore take part in the prize draw
on par with the other participants. You have either provided your
answers via the original e-mail invitation, or afterwards via the
e-mail reminder.
Suddenly I could not get any further during the survey -
why?
An error message is mainly due to a temporary technical fault. The
best solution is therefore to wait a while and then try answering
the survey again later.
Question not answered?
If you did not get the answers you were looking for, please write
to us on info@userneeds.ie.
Please send the relevant invitation e-mail if you have a problem
with a survey. A screenshot or similar can often help us find the
cause of the problem so that we can help you quickly.
